Fill catalog

The kit ships one interior fill — the ordered halftone baked into .edge::after. The research trail carried many more. Every fill here rides the same edge frame + same warm ground — only the interior texture changes. Plain flat fills are banned on screen (contrast rule); these are the textured options. Nothing dismissed — the three v3-retired "drift signatures" appear at the end, tagged, for a re-confirm rather than a silent resurrection.

Live options

.edge::after

Halftone shipped

Ordered dot screen. Opposite-pole ink (blue dots on warm ground). The house fill.

--ht-size 8px

Halftone — coarse option

Same dot screen, larger tile. Reads as a heavier print-screen for hero surfaces.

#grain-dark/light

Grain option

Atmospheric feTurbulence film grain. Currently opt-in atmosphere only (never a card default).

#dither

Dither option

Posterized 5-step tone — the "stepped, never smooth" anti-tell. For tonal transitions/gradientish fills.

tri-axial lattice

Hex grid option

Instrument-grid lattice. A structural alternative to dots — reads as blueprint/schematic.

#contour

Contour option

Topographic band lines (C·cartographic trail). Cartographic fill for map/dossier surfaces.

#paper

Paper fibre option

Very faint fibre tooth (overlay). Pairs with the deckle edge for the dossier/atelier register.

v3-retired — drift signatures (shown for completeness)

These three were explicitly retired in the v3 reimagine (2026-04-27): the green-phosphor "terminal" era. Per "dismiss nothing," they are here for you to re-confirm retired or deliberately re-admit for a specific role — not silently resurrected.

CRT lines

Scanline v3-retired

Horizontal CRT lines. Retired as a terminal-era tell.

glow bloom

Phosphor bloom v3-retired

Soft center glow. Retired (phosphor-glow = drift signature).

channel split

Chromatic split v3-retired

RGB channel offset. Retired (RGB-chroma = drift signature).
