Email is the only lane that reaches paid content. Where the subscription is live the full body arrives in the message and is read directly — no fetch, no cookie, no credential. Where it lapsed, Substack truncates server-side and the post is kept as a labelled stub, never retried. Authors are discovered from the inbox, so this list reflects what actually arrived on 2026-07-26 rather than a fixed roster.

What this lane is for. The fund drops links and references into this channel when they want them ingested. Unlike the other three lanes, the source list is not a roster we curate — it is whatever the fund posts. So this lane both feeds the wiki directly and discovers new sources for the other three: a Substack link posted here should end up in the Substack roster, a channel link in the YouTube roster.

A Slack incoming webhook is a one-way write to a single channel. It carries no read scope at all, so no amount of webhook access reaches this channel's history. The credential is the gating item.

The seam already exists in the other direction. ViskaRes writes a row, n8n reads it and posts to Slack — that path has run live. This lane is the mirror image: n8n reads Slack, writes a row, ViskaRes picks it up. Same boundary, same table pattern, no new transport to invent and no Slack credential in the research seat.

Manifest drift — the canonical roster is stale

research/roster.json presents itself as the consolidated superset and is the file that mirrors to research_sources. It was generated 2026-07-02 and records 1 Substack source (Doomberg). The lane actually runs research/substack-roster.json, which carries 12. Anything reading the canonical roster for Substack coverage is reading a number that is 11 short.

This is the same defect class that hid the Substack lane's single-source coverage until 2026-07-26: a ratified roster sitting in one file while the adapter reads another. Worth reconciling before the manifest is mirrored anywhere downstream.
