Fourteen clocks, one rail

Every clock in the system drawn with the same geometry, grouped by stratum. Each card states its own time window, because rails self-scale and an unlabelled rail is a picture of a duration nobody declared. Values are illustrative against a fixed now of 29 Jul 2026 12:00 UTC.

L0 Stamps geometry: a point · memory: none

Four mechanisms recording the instant they acted. Read individually they say almost nothing; read together they are the delivery chain, which is the composite at the end of this group.

Poll → assembly: 6hassembly → observation: 5sshared window 24h
The only group on this page allowed a shared scale, because all four measure the same 24 hours. The six-hour run is the whole point: a two-minute-old assembly says nothing about six-hour-old data.
L1 Transcripts geometry: nothing new · memory: none

Six instants copied from a source's own record. The geometry is identical to L0 — a transcript is still a single point — so the only thing separating these six on screen is the name, the window, and how far the tick sits from now. next_poll_at is the exception, and the only clock on this page whose tick falls to the right of now.

L2 Delta geometry: an interval · memory: one prior value

The first clock that can report something that did not happen, and the reason the whole change exists. One remembered value is its entire cost.

L3 Spans geometry: a region · memory: every prior value

Two fields, one rail. series_from and series_through are the ends of a single bar and are never drawn apart — a start with no end is not a coverage statement. Published per series by whoever owns it, never inferred from returned rows.

L4 Shape geometry: a reference track · memory: every prior value, plus a calendar

The upper track is what the calendar says should exist; the lower is what the series holds. A weekend carries no tick above, so the absence below is not drawn as a fault. This is the only clock whose input is not itself a clock.

What the full set shows

Nothing here is done. Under rule 11 an element ships only with a reference bundle, a critique loop against the live dev server, a passing brand audit and a dogfood evidence packet. This is the design step. Tokens are read from the live light register in src/index.css; every value shown is illustrative.
